Wasatch Soccer SentinelSometimes when you watch a game you just know when the goals are going to come. You watch one team break out in transition or play a strong possession, and in your head you think “Yep, a goal’s on the way.”
It was like that with all of Portland’s goals tonight. Multiple moves before the ball hit our net it was obvious that we were about to be outplayed.
And outplayed we were.
Dramatically.
We’ve had some bad matches this season, but I think this one was the worst. Whew, talk about complete defensive failure. Portland spanked us with skill, planning, and a strong game plan. They knew what to do to beat us tonight.
As they seem to always do these days.
What a distinct loss that was.
Outplayed. Outcoached. Outmatched.
